Overview
DD-Polyglot (“we”, “us”, or “our”) provides a language-learning mobile application. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. By using the app, you agree to this policy.
Information we collect
Account information such as email address when you sign in. Profile details you provide, such as a username and language preferences. Learning activity, including story progress, practice usage, notes, streaks, and pronunciation attempts stored to sync your experience. Device and app information needed to operate the service, such as app version and basic diagnostics. Purchase and subscription status processed through Apple, Google, and our subscription provider (RevenueCat). Support messages you send us, including related account details needed to respond.
How we use information
We use this information to provide and improve the app, sync progress across devices, personalize learning content, process subscriptions, send transactional emails (such as sign-in links), send optional product updates if you opt in, respond to support requests, and protect the security and integrity of the service.
Sharing
We share information with service providers that help us operate DD-Polyglot, including authentication and database hosting (Supabase), subscription management (RevenueCat), app stores (Apple/Google), email delivery, and AI providers used to generate practice content when you use Practice. We do not sell your personal information.
Data retention
We retain account and learning data while your account is active and as needed to provide the service. You may request deletion of your account and associated personal data by contacting support@ddpolyglot.com. Some records may be retained where required for legal, security, or accounting purposes.
Your choices
You can use the app as a guest with locally stored progress, sign in to sync data, manage notification preferences in Settings, and opt out of marketing emails while still receiving necessary account emails. You can also contact us to access, correct, or delete personal information we hold about you, subject to applicable law.
Children
DD-Polyglot is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your country). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, contact support@ddpolyglot.com so we can delete it.
International transfers
We may process information on servers located outside your country. Where we do, we take appropriate steps to protect that information in accordance with this policy and applicable law.
Changes
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will revise the “Last updated” date and, when appropriate, provide additional notice in the app.
